RecDesk works perfectly for our Department's needs!

5.0 3 years ago

Comments: We have very pleased with the ease of this product, and our residents/ participants love the convenience and flexibility it has brought for registering for our department's programs and events.

Pros:

It is easy to train staff on how to use it, if we have a question it's answered in a very timely manner, there is no cost for upgrades, and we get emails or pop-ups announcing new modules or upgrades.

Cons:

When we move a participant to a new program their forms disappear, and for new participants they sometimes find the category selection on their "view" homepage to be a challenge.

Rec Deck Review

3.0 last year

Comments: I overall like recdesk, its fairly easy to navigate.

Pros:

I like that its user friendly when you actually know the website, initially its pretty confusing. It helps streamline our programs which is very benefitial.

Cons:

Rec Deck is missing alot of features that seem fairly standard with any program and we have put in requests to get things added/ new features added with no success or follow up.

Comments: Overall, it is a great system for point of sale and keeping a database of people. I have at least 20 events running simultaneously, and it is easy easy to use for a older demographic.

Pros:

Anytime I need support. Someone answers me quickly.

Cons:

I wish I had more control over the administrative side of widgets

Review from Office Manager at Lyons Recreation Department

4.0 last year

Comments: Overall it's a great program and there is a lot that can be customized to our liking.

Pros:

There are several things about the software that I do like. Some of the Program/League features are a little easier than CivicPlus..

Cons:

I really do NOT like that our patrons can't make partial payments on their rentals and/or sports fees if they are paying online at home or on the go.

Pros:

I love how easy it is to keep track of memberships, members and programs!

Cons:

I would like to have a discount option in the POS feature. It would also be nice to be able to pick and choose staff permissions (a la carte style)

Would never use anything else!

5.0 last year

Comments: Overall, this has been a game changer for us and I am very pleased with the program. I really don't have anything negative to say as we love the program here. We also love that they are always evolving and updating things. Thank you!!

Pros:

- Programs management and how easy it is to create them. Love the feature of "create one just like this" - saves us so much time! - I personally LOVE flex forms and we utilize this for many different programs. I higly recommend that people use Flex Forms. - The dashboard is a great tool when you want to see any changes quickly that have happened recently. I like to use this after a program is posted or after sharing the registrations to see popular times people sign up and how many.

Cons:

- I wish we could also search by first name - It would also be nice to add photos for promotional purposes in the programs

Couldn't Live Without It!

5.0 last year

Comments: Our experience with RecDesk has been phenomenal. I can't imagine anyone having better customer service. The RecDesk team is always so patient even when I ask the dumbest questions. New enhancements are always rolling out, and they always take into consideration improvements you would like to see. A++

Pros:

The ease of online registration is the best! I can't imagine going back to pen and paper. It's so easy to get practice/game schedules to everyone. Rescheduling a rain out is literally the click of a button. Drafting teams is so easy along with immediately being able to give coaches a team roster.

Cons:

Everything is pretty great although I wish there was a RecDesk app!

Easy to use

5.0 8 months ago

Comments: Overall, I enjoy RecDesk. It makes it easy to track programming revenue, print daily reports, and create reservations.

Pros:

I like how easy RecDesk is to use and understand. The support team does a great job of providing training videos and answering questions quickly.

Cons:

I do not like that for every transaction, users need to create an account to register for a program or reserve a site. Some community members find it to be a hassle, but it is easy to make an account.

Plus 1 for RecDesk!

5.0 7 months ago

Comments: RecDesk has filled our needs seamlessly. We are faster and more efficient in our processes and only use around 40% of the programs capabilities.

Pros:

Ease of use, learning the program was intuitive and efficient, easy to realize and correct user mistakes. The support I've needed was quick and solved the issues.

Cons:

That I'm the only administrator. I wish that I had more staff that I can assign to the program. I have not had any issues with RecDesk.

Easy yet Precise!

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: Phenomenal! Thank you for the kindness and the fabulous product!

Pros:

Easy, Easy, Easy! Everything is easy once set up it established. Learning the system is literally a breeze. I love the 'Resources' (how-to lookup) tab which is always visible when using RecDesk. Customer Service is AMAZING! Everyone is super friendly and everyone is willing to share all their knowledge.

Cons:

Setting up Bulk Email Campaigns is easy; however, you have to enter a different 'campaign' every time you'd like to send an email. You can schedule ahead, but, I do hope a 'copy' function is added in this module to easily re-announce the programs (i.e.: registration ends soon, registration ends tomorrow, etc.).

Comments: Overall, its a great system for registrations and scheduling. The customers find it very easy to use.

Pros:

This software is by far the easiest software for new staff to learn quickly. With so many part timers, and a high level of seasonal and part time turnover, its important that the basic functions be easy to learn and figure out. Its the most intuitive software to use on an admin level, and our customers also find it to be easy to figure out. The basics are basic enough for new staff to figure out.

Cons:

Once you become proficent in the basics, the more advanced functions are convoluted and could be cleaner. We dislike the Export to Excel, would prefer a report that generates a PDF. In the export, it creates a list and you have to remove categories in excel, instead of being able to toggle the desired categories in the system before generating the report. When data entering programs, we would like a report to confirm what was inputted instead of having to go through each tab individually. When creating programs, its frustrating to have to keep saving on every tab and also every individual date that it added. We want to do payment plans but it doesn't let you mass enroll into a payment plan, you have to individually set it up for each registration. Once parents put in their own emergency forms, they cannot go back in and update the information without registering for another program.

RecDesk to the Rescue

5.0 last year

Comments: We are happy with the product! It ensures our classes are accessible and trackable for our participants and staff.

Pros:

It is cost effective and does everything that we need to keep our organization's programs organized on the front and back end.

Cons:

Some of the backend is clunky. For instance, I can only search by last name as far as members and that sometimes is problematic.

RecDesk

4.0 last year

Comments: Customer service is great. I have never had a time where they could not assist me. Tech support is also great.

Pros:

Ease of use, ability for inexperienced users to navigate, reports, able to review past programs, customer history.

Cons:

Program registrations: example-family of 5 registers for event, have the entire number of people come off the max number allowed. Only way to do this now is make a mandatory question, run a report, then adjust the max allowed. Ability for to register and purchase multiple tickets.

We love RecDesk! SO helpful for baseball league and facility reservations.

5.0 last year

Pros:

We love how the information gets transferred from registration to leagues to teams with ease. We built our T-Ball schedule in minutes rather than hours we spent on that in the past.

Cons:

I wish when you attached a file to a registration there was an option to copy it to household documents.

Wonderful for our city to organize parks and rec, a youth center, and an arts center all in one place!

4.0 last year

Comments: It has been great overall I have to say. We really needed a way to offer credit card sales both in person and online to our patrons and this has worked seamlessly.
Soon we are going to add a Sparxo account that will connect to our RecDesk for ticket sales. Now that the arts center is fully open we are ready to use this function by offering tickets online for shows.

Pros:

I appreciate the ability I have to schedule events in multiple facilities inside of the arts center, they can overlap, and being able to both print the calendar and export the events into different files is essential. The POS system has been essential for the arts center, we now use it for every event we hold to sell merchandise and concessions.

Cons:

In the reports tab, I would really like to have a report for option for POS only. There are times I simply need a report of the POS sales without any of the other data. Sometimes it takes a while for me to locate certain items because there are so many tabs at the top. Perhaps narrowing down those top tabs into more subcategories would be more helpful for me personally.

RecDesk 4/5

4.0 last year

Pros:

How beneficial having an online reservation portal is. RecDesk gives ease to staff and residents for several reasons - organizational purposes, online forms, payment options, and limitations to name a few. Especially since our organization is growing and keeping up with technology.

Cons:

It would be beneficial for RecDesk to have the option of communicating with a user.

Comments: The RecDesk system is great. We have no complaintes.

Pros:

Cons:

We would like the league management to be a little cleaner with scheduling, but this could be a user education moment as well.

User friendly software with great support

4.0 3 years ago

Comments: Great! It's userfriendly. I've recommended it to others.

Pros:

Customer support is key and is great. We find things here and there that would make our navigation easier but for the most part having someone easily explain another way is great.

Cons:

I have submitted many requests since we purchased in 2019, definitely look those up. Pulling POS reports could be easier Looking up someone by their first name only (not just exporting to excel) Viewing someone's waivers from their profile would be better than having to find them in the Membership tab and option
