About Domo
Enable data to power any action, for any role.
I like being able to check status of monthly revenue without having to go through our CRM system. Domo automatically imports all relevant information and summarizes it in one sheet.
Domo can be very difficult to learn at first if you are not somewhat familiar with SQL.

The things Domo can do are just astounding
Comments: We can see analytics we could never see before. We can understand our business in a way we never could before. We honestly don't know what we'd do without Domo at this point. It's fantastic.
Pros:
We were originally looking for dashboard software. Something like Geckoboard, but we wanted something more advanced. We were using multiple tools, and wanted to collect data from them. We then found Domo. Within days we had integrated our CRM database, Website Analytics, Invoicing database, and Order Processing database. This let us take a look at EVERYTHING. And I mean everything. Things like: What's the average time between receiving a lead and the rep calling them the first time? What's the average time between a customer ordering, and reordering? How many calls have my reps made today? (Updated every 15 minutes!) What landing pages on my website are receiving the most looks? How are my google analytic campaigns translating into converted customers?
Cons:
It's pricey, but worth it. The biggest thing was the last update they had screwed up some of my reports, and we're still trying to figure out what happened.

Domo Accelerates Data Driven Strategy
Comments: I have used Domo for about 5 years, and side by side with Tableau for a good chunk of that time. Domo has proven to have better support, UI, user adoption, ETL functionality, and connectors.
Pros:
Domo has proven to be more efficient to build dashboards, while being easy to use to bring non-BI users into the fold. I have been amazed by how quickly new users become comfortable and productive using the tools. We leverage a stable of the connectors to further drive our strategy from multiple operational platforms.
Cons:
It would be great to be able to multi-layer calculated fields within cards, but this isn't a huge obstacle because of the ETL capability at the dataset level

Unlocking the Power of Your Data: A Domo Review
Comments: My overall impression of Domo has been positive. I've used the platform to manage and visualize data from multiple sources in real time, and I've found it to be a powerful tool. My coworkers and I have been able to make more informed decisions and increase operational efficiency thanks to the platform's user-friendly interface and collaborative features. The company's commitment to innovation and staying at the forefront of the industry is one of the things I value about Domo. The platform keeps getting better and better with regular updates and new features, making it an even more useful tool for our organization.Having said that, the platform's complexity and occasional delays in data processing and visualization have presented some obstacles. However, I have discovered that these difficulties can be overcome with patience and investment in platform education.Overall, I think Domo is a great platform for businesses that want to use their data to their advantage.
Pros:
The company's focus on assisting businesses in unlocking the value of their data through a comprehensive and user-friendly platform is one aspect of Domo that stands out to me. As a Domo user, I appreciate how the platform makes data management easier by making it simple to combine, visualize, and analyze data from a variety of sources in real time.I've found that the collaborative features of Domo also make it simple to share ideas and findings with colleagues all over the organization, which helps make better decisions and make operations run more smoothly. I've also found the platform's mobile app to be especially helpful in keeping me connected to my insights and data wherever I go.As a Domo user, I've also appreciated the company's dedication to innovation and industry leadership. The platform keeps getting better and better with regular updates and new features, making it an even more useful tool for our organization.I think Domo is a great platform for businesses that want to use their data to their advantage.
Cons:
As a Domo user, one of my difficulties has been the platform's complexity. Even though the features and capabilities of the platform are impressive, it can take some time to fully comprehend how to use them. Also, the pricing structure of the platform can be a little hard to understand, especially for smaller businesses that might not have as many resources as larger ones. The occasional lag or delay in data processing and visualization is another issue I've encountered. Even though this doesn't happen often, it can be difficult to quickly access insights or share data with coworkers.Lastly, as a Domo user and employee, I would like the company to be more open about data privacy and security. Although Domo has taken steps to protect customer data, additional information regarding the platform's data security and protection against potential breaches would be helpful. In general, despite these difficulties, I think Domo is a great platform for businesses that want to use their data to improve decision-making and operational efficiency.

There are MUCH better options
Comments: I have personal experience with several of Domo's competitors as an analytics consultant. None of the Storage/ETL/BI use cases I can think of would I put domo in my top 3 options. I have found it to be subpar in data warehousing, query editing, and data visualization which from what I can tell is the majority of its functionalities.
Pros:
This product provides a web-based hub for your data and visuals that centralizes where your team focuses to interact with their data. The ETL tools provide an easy to use low/no code interface to build simple queries.
Cons:
Where Domo has removed complication (I assume to ease the use) they have dramatically limited this software capabilities in comparison to competitors. limitations include: - No ability to build visuals based on multiple tables - No ability to build filtering capabilities across tables - No ability to build relational models with existing tables - All "scripting" capabilities are glitchy and limited in their capabilities - Poor/nonexistent version control options - Compute resources are not brokered well and during high traffic times we can have dataflows run for up to 2 hours My worst experience with domo was with their customer service/integration team. One of their prebuilt integrations to a popular Web App, which domo is responsible for maintaining and servicing, has never functioned properly with our domo instance. The support case has been open for nearly a month and has just been escalated to someone that appears to know how to read the code I have been sending them to trouble shoot THEIR integration. They have promised resolution timelines twice and are now 2 weeks behind their initial promise.

It has its strengths and weaknesses just like the rest
Comments: Overall it's given us what we needed. They have APIs for pushing and pulling data as well as for user and data permissions.
Pros:
I like that it's an off-premise solution so we don't have to build and support a data warehouse.
Cons:
Customer support isn't very good. The helpdesk is virtually useless and they are always trying to push their premium support option for $5K/year when we complain. It's important to get a good Customer Success Manager. We have a really good one now, our 4th, and they are very helpful in getting support issues reviewed and looked at.

Better and Smarter BI Tool
Comments: easy to use, offers great visualization for data analysis. I really like how easy it is to connect to other systems by offering out of box connectors.
Pros:
DOMO can easily connect with most all other systems and bring their data into DOMO warehouse. It also offers beast mode in data visualization, this feature is a terrific way to create a dynamic field within a dataset that references other columns.
Cons:
Data permissions setup are sometime bid confusion: publication groups vs PDP

Domo Review
Pros:
Domo is very user friendly, it is incredibly simple to create visualizations, join data, and create dashboards.
Cons:
I wish there were more connectors available and that some connectors were more robust in the data they are able to pull in. For example, I would love a loop returns connector and I wish the Shopify connector was able to pull in custom reports. I also wish you could do more with beast modes as far as functions and scripting.

Domo for a Law Firm
Comments: Overall the reporting has been great. I send a weekly productivity report to the staff that Domo allows us to break down by position. This is great for reviews
Pros:
Being able to get a pulse check on reporting for the Firm at a glance. We review the reports weekly and even send employee reports that track productivity.
Cons:
It’s hard to dislike anything. The reporting is easy to use

Domo is a good analytics platform for those who need a new solution
Pros:
Customization and reporting work well, even for novice users
Cons:
Not really any cons, we just decided to utilize another platform that was already integrated with our other software

Domo is a truly outstanding, sophisticated, and powerful BI programme
Comments: It assists us in seeing what is buried beneath the data. You are aware that not every data can be seen in an excel sheet. It eliminates the need to manually pull and enter all of our data, which is time-consuming. It also allows us to visualise and alter our data in ways that were previously impossible. It offers just remarkable analytical capabilities that have helped us to better leverage all of the organization's data to make choices, particularly commercial and financial ones.
Pros:
Every function is quite simple to use, but if you don't know how to utilise it, they provide fantastic knowledge-based publications. Domo enables us to create really well-designed dashboards that present data from numerous sources fast and effortlessly. When it comes to analytical skills, it is also a potent tool with an excellent report generator. Increases visibility into performance. It provides several chart kinds that are categorised based on the requirements. The best thing is that it generates an auto chart utilising multiple dimensions and measurements.
Cons:
When an issue happens on the SQL side, I notice it, but I'd need additional information about it. Sometimes a single statement isn't enough to explain what's wrong with the SQL. The colours are terrible, and the graphs and other elements aren't as easy to use as Power BI or other tools. The only thing that may be enhanced is the graphical tools; otherwise, it is wonderful and works well.

Perfect for groups that need a BI Team in a Box
Comments: The single greatest benefit has been the ability to combine data from three different systems to provide a combined view of our sales operations, without having to bounce between three different systems, and maintaining full control of what and how we want to report and visualize our data
Pros:
The standout feature of Domo is the ability to use a single platform to ingest data, transform it, visualize, and analyze. For companies that do not have a mature BI program or groups that do not have sufficient BI support, Domo permits those groups the ability to gain access to data-driven insights within a single platform.
Cons:
There are often bottlenecks in running dataflows at peak times of the day (most notable b/t 8-11AM eastern).

Domo Is expensive but well worth the investment
Comments: I really like Domo it's hands down my favorite piece of software and also my favorite company to work with. It has solved countless reporting problems an saved thousands of hours spent repetitive reporting tasks for our team.
Pros:
It's incredibly powerful and allows any one (regardless of coding or data science background) the ability to create dynamic reports and complex data automations. The best part of Domo though is the customer support. When you call support you get a human right away and they are always ready to help regardless of how complicated your problem is or how much time it will take to solve. You never feel helpless with Domo, only empowered
Cons:
It costs a fortune and they have no entry level packages. they also have a habit of releasing awesome features that aren't included in the main package and that cost puts the platform well out of reach for most companies.

Turn data in to actionable information
Comments: As mentioned in the pro’s section, we have had several wins as a result of our use of Domo. Safety performance has improved because Domo has surface information that helps us hold our employees accountable. From the employee’s perspective, they are able to see what is expected of them and also see how they are performing to those expectations.
Pros:
From loading data all the way to visualizing it, domo’s tools make the process very simple. Our business leaders now have accurate and timely information which helps them make informed decisions. We have several documented organizational improvements as a result of our Domo initiative.
Cons:
Of all the software systems I have been involved in procuring, domo has the least amount of “cons”. One suggestion would be to include some type of utility to maximize the efficiency of datasets. We tend to create datasets that are probably redundant, it would be cool to have a way to know when that happens.

Wouldn't want to live without DOMO
Comments: I use DOMO everyday and believe in the power it has to communicate actionable metrics. Wouldn't want to do business without it.
Pros:
Once DOMO cards are setup, DOMO is the fastest way to get virtually real time data to drive smart decision making. DOMO has the ability to be as simple or complex as the organization wants the data to be when presented. DOMO eliminates our excuse that managers don't have access to data to do their jobs. The range of data that can be accessed is incredible. Our ERP software, sales database and spreadsheets are all available. All aspects our organization have visual representation in DOMO that team members can see on workstations, video monitors or by email alerts. Portability on devices is also great.
Cons:
Cost...of course. Small organizations may have a difficult time justifying the cost.

Everything I Need All In One Place!
Comments: We use Domo to connect the data sets from several different programs into information that can be shared between them through Domo.
Pros:
Domo connects the data from all of our different data sources and allows me to put it all on one dashboard page so that I don't have to flip back and forth looking for the information that I need. I love that I can share the access to these dashboards with all of my employees so that they have access to all of the up to date information that they need. I really like that I can take any of the data on a dashboard and Domo will turn it into an excel spreadsheet for me.
Cons:
The customer support is a little slow. There is also an occasional lag time between when changes are made to data and when they show up on Domo. It only refreshes about every 15 minutes.

Good all-in-one platform
Pros:
It's generally pretty easy to get data into Domo and the ETL options make it pretty easy to do any necessary data cleaning and transformation. The platform is user friendly and building visuals are straightforward, although they can be limited at times.
Cons:
Domo's support team definitely needs improvement - their response time is lacking and frequently ask for information that has already been provided in the initial ticket submission. It's also easy for the platform to become very disorganized - Domo could definitely benefit from implementing some data catalog functionality.
Neha
Easy to use and quick development turnover
Pros:
Domo is user-friendly, it is easy to consume the reports and dashboards by the end user, at the same time allowing for deeper analysis by drilling down into different views till the raw data. It is also easy to develop ETL pipelines in Domo using the advanced SQL capabilities or the magic ETL tool. Easy to build interactive dashboards with dynamic filtering.
Cons:
Some of the chart types could be improved like gauge charts where I would like to show the color based status (red/yellow/green) if that particular column is not used to build the chart.

Solves Monday Report Hell
Comments: Every week we have to present to upper management statistics around the health of our BU including marketing, operations, and finance. In addition to our BI team pulling their hair out on Sunday night and Monday morning, we had 2 interns whose entire job was just to create and maintain these reports and pull this data from different systems. Once we got Domo running and connected to all of our systems (both our own data as well as data from other websites like Google ad spend and Zoho) then not only did we get to have our interns do something valuable but we also weren't waiting until Monday to get insight... we could actually manage our business in something closer to real-time. Seems obvious but without Domo, I don't know how we'd do it.
Pros:
Can connect to just about anything. Collaboration is easy. Easy enough on mobile that our executive team can use it.
Cons:
Had to get a lot of people involved on our side at the beginning to hook up to all of our accounts. Maybe that's inevitable. Alerting is pretty basic, would like to see more there.

Versatile Graphic Analytics for Any Fields and Users
Comments: Analysis of our top donors and distribution of grants using these funds over a period of time have been very insightful and critical to determine how our funds are allocated.
Pros:
DOMO Cards and graphics provide quick accessibility for the user and team projects. Very user friendly to learn and create your own displays and graphs to share with internal and external clients. Various chart types and easy integration with current business processes were definitely a plus in navigating the software and completing projects on time or sooner than expected with great results. Readily available on the desktop, laptop and mobile with all of the great features intact.
Cons:
N/A. A plus would be to include animation with the data in the Data Cards. For example, instead of a simple stacked bar chart graph and line graph overlay on the same DOMO card, reveal the pieces of the stacked bar chart, discuss with audience and then slowly integrate the line graph up to current year with extension of future years added to the same DOMO Card.
Kevin
Daily / weekly DOMO user
Comments: At first I really liked it. Then I struggled with it and was frustrated (lack of knowledge on navigating) and my own difficulty knowing which variable to choose to get the desired results I'm looking for. However, I'm more comfortable navigating now since I use it daily.
Pros:
I like the ability to pull together aggregate data in seconds (using customized assumptions) instead of having to create multiple reports
Cons:
I can be tricky to learn how to use the software to its fullest. It takes a bit getting used to to navigate around.

Domo is intuitive, modern, and helps your business monitor KPI's
Comments: Domo has become critical for managing our business and has provided us real time visibility into all areas.
Pros:
I liked that you didn't have to have a developer background to effectively use the tool. Everything is laid out and simplified in a way that allows you to create visualizations in a user friendly way.
Cons:
There aren't many cons but some of the pre-built connectors don't work as intended and it's the responsibility of the vendor to fix.
Kyle
Great ETL and Visualization Tool
Comments: Combining data, transforming data, and now writing back to source system... this tool is a gamechanger and i think puts DOMO into a category of an Essential business system.
Pros:
Very easy to get data from all your systems. Using basic to advanced SQL you can ETL the data with ease.
Cons:
there could be some better out of the box chart types, sometimes it's difficult to configure the type of chart you're looking for, but i've found it is possible most of the time.

For the data-focused marketer, Domo is as good as it gets! This is the only platform that has been able to combine all of my data sets together, it's a dream.
Pros:
Domo's ability to connect to ANY data source is extremely valuable for myself and my organization. We have around 15 different data sources (some of them local, not in the cloud) just in digital marketing alone, and with Domo we have been able to string all of those sets of data together for one true view of performance. The reports are visually engaging, and I can build dashboards that are useful for any job role. Prior to Domo, our organization did not have any type of advanced business intelligence reporting. The difference in decision-making is night and day.
Cons:
The only thing I can write as a potential "con" is that if you are working with multiple data sets like myself, and do not have deep data experience, it can be difficult to string your data sets together once you bring them in. A working knowledge of data is helpful. I recommend using their implementation hours for this if you don't have someone in your organization with that skill set, the Domo implementation experts know their stuff and can get you set up quickly.

My though about DOMO
Comments: DOMO is visual report that greatly help us in terms. This can be used either with pc and mobile phone.
Pros:
Business Intelligence tool that easy to learn.
Cons:
There are few things that needs to improve. Like simple sizing of the card in edit dashboard mode using customized size option instated dragging to achieve the desired size. Improving conditional formatting and not just basing it from the default value.
