The must-have tool to boost my productivity in audit and finance

Comments: What stands out the most is its ability to automate repetitive tasks. Before, I spent hours manually extracting and cross-referencing data, but with this tool, I can accomplish these tasks in a matter of minutes.

Pros:

What I liked the most is its ability to automate repetitive tasks and speed up my productivity in audit and finance. With just a few clicks, I can extract data, cross-reference, and document the source of any procedure quickly and easily.

Cons:

One of the drawbacks I have found is that at times the data extraction can be a bit limited in terms of the variety of formats that can be parsed. Sometimes when working with more complex files or databases, I have experienced difficulties extracting certain specific data.

Efficient

Comments: Overall, it very useful and efficient to use.

Pros:

It helps users save time of copying and pasting data from pdf to excel file. It makes the work more efficient.

Cons:

When having big multiple files imported, it slows down the opening of workpapers.

Not impressed

Pros:

It's a cool tool to attach documents to a working paper with easy referral to the desired place in the document.

Cons:

The data recognition gave me many discrepancies that I couldn't use the tool to check the relevant data

Datasnipper is worth it!

Comments: Datasnipper solves the time problem in audit by eliminating the need to capture support manually and also human error where mistakes are made when documents are captured. These documents are imported and the detail thereon is either extracted or snipped instead of being captured manually by retyping from physical documents. Which saves alot of time and also does not leave juniors stuck on tasks for hours and hours.

Pros:

Datasnipper eliminates phantom ticking - one of audit engagements worst threat (the threat that an audit member will state that it is correct without checking the support or substance) Due to the ability of the software to import the support and then allow the manager to check it that what is tested is correct is fantastic. Also significantly reduces capturing errors made by junior staff when capturing a lot of support.

Cons:

Some features are not available and require additional expansion or products to get the use of the functionality. The standard model is great but is not really competing with all the additional features that are available and you are limited to the subscriptions purchased by the organization as a user.

Comments: Very good experience.

Pros:

Easy to use, very fast and gets the job done.

Cons:

I liked the full package. No dislikes. I think that the tool has every characteristic required from such tool.

Comments: Have definitely saved time. If the occasional crashes are taken care of, It will be the best app.

OCR functionality, Copy from clipboard, Document matching, sum snip

Cons:

It highlights the number I selected in excel, but it does not navigate to that exact field. That functionality using a button will be very helpful

The Bottomline: DataSnipper

Comments: Overall I had a great experience with DataaSnipper, I even took the time to watch other videos to improve my DataaSnipper skills.

Pros:

I loved the automated features. It enabled me to complete my detailed testing within an hour and this allowed me to conduct a proper test on all aspects as I didn't have any time constraints. The ability to search for a specific sentence in 100pages and be able to pull the information onto my working papers. The ability to also place validation checks on information where we reviewed is also a major plus.

Cons:

The zoom lesson was a bit too fast, however after watching the recording it was much easier to manage.

Makes work more efficient

Pros:

Snip tables feature. It is a quick way to add tables to create lead schedules and cast financial statement

Nothing yet, I still need to explore more features.

A good and efficient tool

Pros:

The ease of being able to copy information from pdf to excel making it easier to work with and analyse

Additionally, the pricing structure can be discriminatory towards customers with lower volumes, which can be frustrating.There are also some functional issues that could potentially affect the reliability and accuracy of the tool. For example, the Validation Snip does not actually validate amounts and users may unintentionally mark something as validated when it is not. The Table Snip also has issues when editing rows, which can cause data to be merged incorrectly.Another area for improvement is the lack of formatting options and inability to change general settings of functions, such as font size and color. Additionally, it would be helpful to have the ability to insert audit ticks into imported documents.While the FIND ALL SUMs function is useful, it does not always accurately check the totals when there is a net total, and the SUM Snip may pick up some numbers with a minus sign when they should be positive. Overall, while DS can be a helpful tool for automating audit tasks, users should be aware of these potential issues and weigh them against their specific needs and preferences. DS's use may cause Excel to freeze and it's incompatible with older versions of Office, but doesn't detract from its overall value.

Great tool for recognizing OCR data, snips are really useful, efficient and effective.

Cons:

At times file becomes heavy, Sum snip lacks at times.

Seamless substantiative Auditing with Datasnipper

Comments: Am glad i used data snipping tool, is wonderful and have helped my work immensely

Pros:

The ability to read data from invoices, Pdf, word document etc. Is a happy snipping exercise and experience

Cons:

The table snipping needs to improve. Sometimes the table will not ready properly and it will lead to manually adjusting the work. Outside this overall is a good experience

DataSnipper allows me to quickly and accurately extract data from photos or scanned documents, saving me time and increasing my productivity.

Cons:

On a few occassions, data extracted from tables were not seperated as such. I had to spend time separating them.

Comments: The benefit are higher than the cons, saving time and too much typing.

Pros:

converting of PDF in editable data, matching document.

sometimes numerics come out as texts, you needd enough training.

Game Changer for Test of Details!!!

Comments: Saves so much time with switching between documents and tracking exact locations where changes happen.

Pros:

Ability to use pdf's within excel and track changes with just one click!

Cons:

It's crashed a few times here and there but never an issue getting it to restart or redownload

Pros:

Datasnipper allows us, the user, to conduct audit a lot easier than manual audit. It helps and enables us to work efficiently and effectively.

Cons:

None noted. Everything about the software is topnotch.

It's helpful

It makes it easier to enter large sums of data.

Cons:

It changes the font, adds highlights to cells, and color of text. There are no setting to adjust this as far as I am aware.

DataSnipper Audit tool review

Comments: - Increased file management skills- Increased overall quickness of the audit testing process. - Great tool for managers to review documents without having back and forth communication with staff members. - Increases transparency

Pros:

- The ease of flicking through documentation- No lag caused by the tool- very straightforward

Cons:

- The autonomous data reader can sometimes stop working if to many documents have been uploaded. This causes the user to then manually type selected criteria from the document to excel.

Data Snipper

Pros:

I would 100% recommend Data snipper for use. The functionality does reduce significant time for the audit and also provides a valuable linkage to audit evidence from our audit. The casting function of the financial statements is awesome as it does not only casts but provides an idea of how the calculations were derived. Kudos to the team.

Cons:

None identified at the moment. Would send through if anything comes up.
