Fantastic solution for transactional emails
Pros:
SendGrid is one of the best solutions for me in the transactional email service because it's easy to start using, the free version is generous and the more affordable paid version isn't bad.
Cons:
I stopped using it simply because I found another even simpler solution, with lower prices and excellent support. Other than that I would continue to use it.

Sending SaaS emails through the service is the best option.
Comments: Minimal running costs and the minimal need for application development make the API cost-effective. Even as a simple SMTP gateway, the API can perform many functions. These include distribution results and bounce information, which make the proper operation possible. MTA SaaS services are made possible by the original. It is used to display messages from the service provider and notify the public of upcoming announcements. Nowadays it is difficult to operate with an original because it could be used by malicious third parties as a spam pass-through. However, it can operate securely if appropriate security measures and patches are applied frequently. Using the SendGrid service frees business owners from work they cannot control.
Pros:
With the sub-user functions and the ability to manage each distribution case, it is easy to confirm the rate and track each delivery in the dashboard. In addition, it is easy to ensure bounce time records and investigate why mail was not delivered from the dashboard. This is because each case has a dedicated distribution manager that can perform distribution management in each case. It is advisable to confirm delivery with a tracking code, but it is also possible to check mail confirmation without any further action. This process can be completed quickly with any of the services offered.
Cons:
Since the records of previous bounces disappear when searching, I want to extend the logging period a bit. To extract the data through webhooks, making a request each time is necessary.
Great transactional email platform, very decent for email marketing
Comments: By far is the best tool we've used for transactional emails, and the last couple years it has done a good job for email marketing. They have very strict policies against cold email, which keeps deliverability high.
Pros:
It is very easy to use and deploy. The API is very well documented and the email marketing features can easily be used by non-developers without writing a single line of code. They have a very nice no-code email builder, but it also allows to do it in HTML for more technically inclined users.
Cons:
Though it is a great platform for transactional email, the Email Marketing tools are charged extra. SendGrid is only really good if you get a dedicated IP, which is absent for the cheaper tiers.
Alternatives Considered: Mailgun and Mailjet
Reasons for Switching to SendGrid: Better value at the time, better customer service, and our developers liked the API better-
If you want your sanity, Stay away from Sendgrid!!
Comments: Zero customer service, I am currently migrating our emails off Sendgrid as we speak. 27 Hours of no communication on their support ticket that suspended our account. No reason was given. We send an average of 30,000 transaction emails per day, all of which are time sensitive (Receipts of payments, password resets, booking confirmations etc). Unforgivable behaviour.
Pros:
Was working reasonably well for us for the last 5 years
Cons:
After years of spending thousands of dollars a month we are suddenly and without warning, "temporarily" blocked from sending emails while the routinely check for spam activity.

Sendgrid'e Email API has solved our problems in email campaigns
Comments: In addition to having their emails filtered as spam, sales representatives were unable to monitor their recipients' actions when sending them via their email client. Our problem was fixed via Sendgrid's email API.
Pros:
Integrating with the email API is a breeze. When compared to other mass email service providers, we have seen that SendGrid consistently produces the highest interaction rates. The ability to automatically retry sent emails is a good bonus.
Cons:
There is no consistency in the percentages of emails opened or clicked. There is currently no mechanism to block measurements that originate from email service provider bots.
Better choice for Email Marketing Software
Comments: It was a good experience, Sendgrid is Easy to use and user-friendly, and you can work with the free plan after that you scale your business
Pros:
they give you a free trial with 100 emails/day forever.delivery optimization toolsVarious email templates
Cons:
-not good at reporting and analyticsthere is no Ai tool to help you with Campaignsa lot of pricing plans
Perfect for this B2C Beauty Business
Pros:
We primarily utilize SendGrid to send SingleSend marketing emails and have been able to do so with great success. They make managing/segmenting your list easy to do. I love that they also offer automation, which is something we will be exploring more in the coming months. The A/B testing capabilities are also amazing.
Cons:
So far, even after 2+years of using the platform, my only real complaint is I would like to be able to upload a fully embedded/clickable PDF into the platform and send. Right now that is not possible and it along with the elements, must be configured in the designer within the platform.

A perfect solution for transactional emails
Pros:
Effortlessly managed transactional emails with SendGrid, which we use as an extension to our CRM. This results in more reliable and efficient delivery of emails.
Cons:
Improving Sendgrid's User Experience While Sendgrid is a decent email service provider, it could offer a more intuitive user interface. Additionally, template management could be improved to make it easier to connect with others. Compared to its competitors, Sendgrid's editor could also use some work to make it more user-friendly.

One of the best email management tools for marketing
Pros:
- Form customization and tags applied to contacts; - Easy integration with Hubspot and API that enables you to sync data in an instant between tools; - Easy to build marketing campaigns
Cons:
- The pricing can be a a blocker for more small sized companies

Opt-in hub for a client
Pros:
Very easy opt-in integration for multiple landing pages and websites.
Cons:
I can't really complain about SendGrid since I've been using it only for opt-in hub.
That's the best smtp software you can get for your buck
Comments: i would recommend sendrgrig to everyone my mum included. It's just the best smtp provider if you consider money and value
Pros:
ok this is not a free software but you can get all you want: just smtp or stats and more.. what I really enjoyed was the stats service.. If you run an e-commerce you'll be familiar with the question: "did my customer got the email?" well with sendgrid you can actually answer that question. You'll have a full report and you can easily tell if your customer got the email or something went wrong. This is something just invaluable.
Cons:
This is not a pricy software but you need to understand its value. if your business is not big enough maybe it will be hard to sustain. nevertheless i just can say this is the place to look even if you have a small business. unless you want to take the burden of handling smtp this software is just awesome.
Alternatives Considered: MailUp, Zoho Mail and Mailchimp
Reasons for Choosing SendGrid: This is the best software if you need an affordable secure smtp with stats and cherries on top.
Switched From: Zoho Mail and Mailchimp
Reasons for Switching to SendGrid: SendGrid is my recommended choice. I'll keep suggesting it to all my customers.
SendGrid
Comments: Sendgrid handles all my mailing campaigns and I have stuck with it from day one to date. I like the email deliverability and tracking metrics offered by SendGrid and will stick with it for the foreseeable future as everything works smoothly.
Pros:
It was very easy to integrate with my existing stack. SendGrid has really worked hard to make sure it's easy to use their software with other services out there. Most website builders by default ask you to integrate Sendgrid as your emailing service, and that was the case with my website builder. It was really easy for me to get started as all I had to do was add an API key in a provided input field. SendGrid did all the heavy lifting and I did not have to do any coding or even go through the API documentation(which by the way is very comprehensive ). You fill that that is the case in so many services that integrate with SendGrid, integration is light-work.
Cons:
It is a little expensive, especially when sending a tonne of emails out and having a lot of contacts. Your email totals low-key add up when you have multiple drip campaigns and transactional emails set up. If you have a small budget it's really difficult to get measurable success on SendGrid as I found out when I just started while having a very low budget. The best way to get the best out of SendGrid is with a substantial budget, and that's a bummer when starting out.
Alternatives Considered: Mailchimp and AWeber
Reasons for Switching to SendGrid: I choose Sendgrid because it was really easy to set up with my stack of Bubble and Zapier without any code of using the API documentation.
Using Heroku and SenGrid is Painful
Comments: The tool is good. But their initial configuration is so terrible I recently moved to SendInBlue. This tool used to be so good but trying to make it secure they just ruin it for devs. The customer supports is not really responsive. In past years they have grown so quickly they could not keep up their old qualities.
Pros:
It has a really good transactional API and the dynamic template is nice and easy to use. Ruby gem for SendGrid is good as well.
Cons:
The configuration part is terrible. When you add Sendgrid add-on through Heroku it gets blacklisted instantly. When you tried to a new account the signup process is terrible. They have added 2FA and sender authentication that is a good thing but that is a nightmare for a project with multiple devs and having multiple environments. They need to add features for developers.
Alternatives Considered: Brevo
Reasons for Switching to SendGrid: I decide to choose SendInBlue over SendGrid because they have become terrible with their initial configuration.
The Best Option for Email Marketing
Comments: SendGrid is the best option that assembles a host of benefits in one place; its editor, analytics and reports, and particularly, its powerful feature to prioritize campaigns and increase performance let every business excels.
Pros:
SendGrid is the best option to boost your business ahead or rather your marketing emails; its detailed reports on clicks, opens, subscribers and even spam lets you revise or edit your campaigns and thus increase conversion. SendGrid is best known for its editor, which lets tailor your emails according your needs, both demographic or geographic.
Cons:
Actually, I become slow to recommend SendGrid due to its limited features of contact management; it does not provide many options compared to Mailchimp. I also did not like its pricing, which determines the quality of your SendGrid dashboard.

This is a must-have.
Comments: They have been amazing, support is fast and helpfull. I don't remember having any downtime with them ever since I joined the service.
Pros:
Sendgrid has an awesome service for email marketing and transactional emails. It works 100% of the time, the support is amazing and it even gives you a free plan that will serve most people.
Cons:
The price for email marketing (contacts) is a bit too high for me. It could be packed with way more interesting features. Also the editor sucks and it never sends the mail like it shows on the screen. But I do not use this feature.

SendGrid Review 2021
Comments: Sendgrid helped us effectively manage our cold email outreach, supplying data in a very clear way for easy understanding. Sendgrid ensured we had an IP address and got our emails always delivered.
Pros:
The most impactful feature of SendGrid for our business is data analysis of using both numbers and graphs to paint a very clear picture of the project performance. It is a very powerful tool we use for sending and managing emails campaigns, especially for cold email for marketing.
Cons:
The most challenging part of using Sendgrid for us was the integration and setup process but the customer support and YouTube videos were very helpful.
Alternatives Considered: Mailshake
Reasons for Switching to SendGrid: It was a better all-around package for what we were looking for with a tool like this.

Sendgrid is great
Comments: Was great for sending transactional, automated emails. API integration with my app was a breeze.
Pros:
Love the UI, the simplicity of the setup, the training / onboarding videos, and the ease-of-use. It's a great tool. Also, the visual template builder is great.
Cons:
I ended up switching to Mailgun just to test things out - and honestly, they're both pretty amazing, but I stuck with Mailgun because (at least at the time I switched) they had a more generous "free" plan. Sendgrid is great though!
Alternatives Considered: Mailgun
Reasons for Switching to SendGrid: Well, I do use both still, but probably use Mailgun more honestly - just because they have a more generous "Free" tier. But Sendgrid is just as good, honestly.
Effective Emailing tool
Comments: Excellent
Pros:
We use sendgrid for our enterprise application for all purpose ranging from notification, verification and transactional information. We switched from a competitor that was burning our pockets and had a lot of issues. the pricing was a balance between our budger and our requirements and send grid just fit into the grid for us
Cons:
No complaints. However the suggestion to the manufacturers would be to improvise the documentation for this product to provide more use case specific guidance to help users
Alternatives Considered: Amazon Simple Notification Service (SNS)
Switched From: Mailchimp

If you're tight on the budget...
Comments: It did what we needed it to do, so that was good. We used it for over a year for monthly newsletters, but as soon as our marketing budget allowed it, we switched to MailChimp.
Pros:
It did work and it did send the email newsletters that we needed it to. Therefore, it wasn't a complete waste of money :D Compared to many other options for email marketing, SendGrid was one of the cheapest options (except for sending the newsletters manually through one's email) and that was one of the reasons why we went with it.
Cons:
It's got a lot of features, but they feel half-baked (I'm sorry, but they do.) For example, you can unsubscribe those whose emails have bounced or who unsubscribed. But in order to do that, you need to download those lists, then upload them to a special list you can call "unsubscribes" or whatever, and then, right after you've imported this list, you delete it - along with associated accounts. THIS deletes the people who bounced from your lists. Seriously?! The annoying thing was the styling within the newsletter. I am a perfectionist, so all text sizes and everything should be consistent. However, SendGrid kept changing the styles of my text and I had to choose "Normal" several times (even after copy-pasting the text from Notepad that doesn't support formatting AT ALL). And if you click on "Edit HTML" (which I often do because it's a fast way to clean away all the annoying tags), SendGrid would convert my block to HTML and would have an entirely different set of styles for it. Also, the support pages were written for someone who is native to this SendGrid thing and not a newbie. Despite doing email marketing for years, I had a hard time understanding what I need to do.
Sendgrid shines on mass mailing, but lacks some required features
Comments: Transactional email
Pros:
Sendgrid is ready for your scale. From the smallest Saas apps to the largest enterprises, Sendgrid was built with scale in mind. It handles transactional emails very well, and is relatively simple to integrate into your codebase or product workflow. Templates come out of the box, but some coding knowledge is needed to style transactional emails. All templates can be easily versioned. Concerns on security and blacklisting are limited. As long as you follow their recommendations, Sendgrid will deliver your email. Pricing is very fair and generous. In years of use, I've never gone over a plan limit.
Cons:
Functionality can be limited in interesting ways depending on your plan. On the most basic paid plans, several code features are just missing. Reporting is the most glaring issue, with basic reporting showing only a rolling group of recently sent emails. Without a deeper dive into your logs, you may miss issues. Transactional emails also lack some features that seem required, like weblinks for email and easy native unsubscribe. There are workarounds for both, but not without challenges. Version tracking for templates is also completely missing, unless you use new versions for each edit you make.
Worst Customer Support (even for Pro Users)
Comments: Overall I would say I'm extremely disappointed with the customer support with SendGrid, especially as a paid Pro user. We have sent over 2M emails and an AI tool flagged our account which was then immediately shut-down without any contact from SendGrid to get more information or validate why it was shut-down. After multiple hours calling thru phone banks I was able to get someone live who couldn't help me at all and said they would reach out to compliance and call-back within 30 minutes. It has been over 8 hours and I have reached out several more times with no follow-up or resolution to our account.
Pros:
integration process with our product was fairly straight forward and on-going maintenance is low cost.
Cons:
as a customer for more than 7 years I have been satisfied with the service. The platform, per the conversation with the customer support team, has seen a large rise in fraud and has begun banning clients regularly even when compliance hasn't completed a diligence process. This has resulted in a large amount of "false positive" cases. When they ban your account, there is no notification. It just says you aren't authorized to access your account. Even if you are paying for Pro support you have no ability to access your account to call support. You have to submit a ticket and then wait 24 hours+ to get a call back.

We use Sendgrid for many things
Comments: It's simply pleasant and we're still with them for the simplicity. That can't be over emphasized.
Pros:
Two things actually. The transactional email software was what we started with and it was exceptional. The emails were fast and delivered promptly. That made us try the email Marketing feature and we eventually dumped Mailchimp for it. You can have as much as 1000 free subscribers and send 6000 emails per month, not as much as Mailchimp is offering but it gets the job done and we love the simplicity, are there cons? Yes, and I'll get to that shortly. Sendgrid also takes security seriously and never lets you rest until you've turned on two factor authentication even when I'm sure my account is not in that much of a threat, simply not bad.
Cons:
Mostly on the email marketing part cause that's what we use more often. The pricing isn't small business friendly and you'd have to pay more to access essential features like automation, not great, you'd have to pay more for that. Dedicated IP, that I get, but automation not available on the basic paid package is kind of a kicker but with email marketing ROI, its probably a great investment but then again, we do make do without it. The software doesn't work well on all browsers and devices sometimes, it happened to us at some point but I reckon its been fixed.
Alternatives Considered: Benchmark Email and Mailchimp

Good but pricy option for Transaction Emails and 3rd party SMTP
Comments: We use this for our learning website to validate emails and send course and account-specific notifications to the signed-up users and it is really a hassle-free tool.
Pros:
Easy of getting startedGenerous Free TierSMTP
Cons:
Pricing is on the higher side as compared to the competition
Alternatives Considered: Mailchimp
Reasons for Choosing SendGrid: Better UI
Switched From: Alibaba Cloud
Reasons for Switching to SendGrid: Pricing at that point of time
Long time customer with 15+ active accounts
Comments: SendGrid was the first to market and has grown more and more powerful over the years, while keeping pricing low and even free pending your needs. Excited to continue plugging it into my side projects and companies.
Pros:
I've used SendGrid for years. They have a 1-click "provision" feature inside the Heroku app store that starts at $0 /month until you hit profit-worthy volume (10k+ emails /month). The API for sending transactional emails is great, however I have not tried their email marketing feature. I'm such a big SendGrid fan, in fact, that I built a free SendGrid analytics tool that generates reports for other customers (+ myself) to send better transactional emails: https://lesstransactional.com.
Cons:
While building our free SendGrid analytics tool, it became apparent that the "Email Activity" API has a much lower rate limit (ie 10 requests per 5 minutes) than the regular sending APIs. This required us to make restrictive changes to the app at the last minute, and their support team was unwilling to increase the rate limit for our use case.

SendGrid excellent SMTP provider.
Pros:
SendGrid was our SMTP provider for transactional emails. Using the APIs, the platform can be easily integrated with the backend system and the service can be used right away. Pricing is very attractive and can be integrated with various marketing automation platforms.
Cons:
Mails start reaching SPAM box after some time and there is no clear way to analyse how many email are reaching to inbox. Domain and Ip reputation cannot be tracked on this platform.
